There are many things one can expect from a Barack Hussein Obama diatribe. The first thing you'll notice is a whole lot of mumbling and stuttering, much like a poor soul suffering a mini-stroke. The second is the occasional phoney-baloney "Malcolm X voice" (H/T Ann Coulter) if he's PO'ed about something. (You know, things like FOX News, no more chicken poodle soup, Benjamin Netanyahu, a lousy day at the links, that sort of thing.) The third thing you'll notice is his incessant cheerleading for federal interference in education, Constitution be damned.
This cheerleading happens in almost every one of his rants. It doesn't matter if the subject is visiting all 57 states, telling Catholic organizations to shut the hell up already and pay for the condoms, or that the so-called "Arab Spring" is spontaneous eruption of Jeffersonian Democracy, you can bet the farm that Chairman Obama is going to somehow going to manage to mention how We the People need to "invest" more in our inefficient, union-infested, government-run schools.
Now why is that ?
One is tempted to say that our Kenyan Dictator needs to keep the various teacher unions happy so they keep filling his campaign coffers full. That's true, but only to a certain point. Teacher unions have nothing to do with education, they're all about leftist commie politics and supporting commie leftist politicians. Albert Shanker, founder of the United Federation of Teachers and president of the "American" Federation of Teachers, once famously quipped, "When school children start paying union dues, that's when I'll start representing the interests of children." In other words, the teacher unions will back any misfit or malcontent that runs for office with a -D after their name. It doesn't really matter if they're functionally illiterate like Joe Biteme, all that matters is that they're a member of the Democrat party in reasonably good standing. All that matters to teacher unions is keeping the gravy train of bloated benefits and pensions going. (A great example of this are the recent teacher strikes in Chairman Obama's own backyard. If you'll note, the teachers didn't give a crap that the Chicago school system struggles mightily to graduate 60% of its students. All they cared about about was making sure they got a bigger share of their neighbor's paycheck. When the strike ended, the teacher unions dutifully reattached to their collective lips to Rahm Emanuel's creepy ballerina ass.)
So then why does Barry keep up this charade, especially if it's something many teachers could care less about ?
It's all about indoctrination of the young, just like the Kosomol of the Soviet Union or the Hitler Jugend of Nazi Germany.
Let me repeat that so there's no misunderstanding whatsoever: It's all about indoctrination of the young. Our Dear Leader wants to indoctrinate your children. This is why he keeps insisting that the federal role in education keeps getting bigger and bigger, much like the deficit. Uncle Sam doesn't want you, he wants your children.
The Department of Education, under Obama sycophant Arne Duncan, is as political as it gets.
For example:
***
"June is LGBT Pride Month, and to kick off the month, and as part of ED’s Student Voices Sessions,
the Secretary met with eight students from the Gay, Lesbian and
Straight Education Network (GLSEN) and the Gay-Straight Alliance Network
to hear directly from the students about their experiences and to
discuss bullying and possible solutions."

***
No, I'm not for bullying in our schools, but I sure don't like idea of the Federal Leviathan telling my children that the perversion of homosexuality is OK in contradiction of what I teach them at home. I also think that the schools themselves are more than able to stop bullying on their own. No one needs Big Brother's guidance on handling such situations.
Ah, but there's more:
***
" 'You are all partners and allies in reforming public education,'
Secretary Arne Duncan said last week at the National Action Network’s
14th Annual Convention in Washington. 'An excellent education for very
child is a moral and civic imperative, as well as an economic one. This
issue is even bigger than education—it is an issue of social justice and
economic security,' [Education Secretary Arne] Duncan said.
One takeaway from the conference is that the civil rights community
has a long and distinguished history of taking courageous action to
drive social change, and it will take collective will to make a
difference in boosting the nation’s graduation rates and turning around
our low-performing schools. 'Without equality in education there will
never be equality in society. We have to do what’s right for our
children and make education a priority,' said Rev. Al Sharpton [noted anti-semite, anti-white racist, and current host on PMSNBC] of the founder
of the National Action Network.
Secretary Duncan explained that 'we have to have a strategy to build
an economy that will last—and education is the centerpiece of it.'
Duncan praised groups like the National Action Network for their work
with communities, and said that 'we need to keep fighting together for
strong local, state and national investments.' "

Don't worry, greenies, you weren't left out. The Department of Education luvs you, too!
***
"Two weeks from today, Secretary Duncan will take the stage at the Green Schools National Conference
in Denver, providing a high note at what is fast becoming the largest
annual meeting of the green schools movement. The Secretary and other
distinguished speakers, including Deputy Undersecretary for the U.S.
Department of Agriculture Janey Thornton, mayors from several cities,
and business leaders representing companies from Stonyfield Farm to Siemens,
will address the green schools movement and how it can strengthen our
economy, revitalize our schools and ensure access to green school
benefits for all.
The Secretary’s appearance and the growing popularity of this conference
signal a new milestone in green schools, coinciding with the inaugural
year of U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools (ED-GRS)
program. ED’s new Environmental Justice Strategy explains how ED-GRS is
just one initiative supporting a goal at the very heart of ED’s
mission: assuring equal educational opportunity for every student.
ED-GRS, among other initiatives, helps suggest ways to address the
adverse health and environmental conditions that disproportionately
affect student achievement among minority and low-income populations."

Ladies and gentlemen, I can't begin to describe how dangerous this is. If one only takes one lesson from history, it should be the fact that national governments and children are a terrible mix. The Soviets turned children against their parents. The Nazis not only turned children against their parents, they turned them into cannon fodder at the end of World War II. Is that what you want for YOUR children ?
On that cheery note, I leave you with this equally cheery note from George Orwell's 1984:
***
"With those children, he thought, that wretched woman must
lead a life of terror. Another year, two years, and they would be
watching her night and day for symptoms of unorthodoxy. Nearly all
children nowadays were horrible. What was worst of all was that by means
of such organizations as the Spies they were systematically turned into
ungovernable little savages, and yet this produced in them no tendency
whatever to rebel against the discipline of the Party. On the contrary,
they adored the Party and everything connected with it. The songs, the
processions, the banners, the hiking, the drilling with dummy rifles,
the yelling of slogans, the worship of Big Brother -- it was all a sort
of glorious game to them. All their ferocity was turned outwards,
against the enemies of the State, against foreigners, traitors,
saboteurs, thought-criminals. It was almost normal for people over
thirty to be frightened of their own children. And with good reason, for
hardly a week passed in which The Times did not carry a paragraph
describing how some eavesdropping little sneak -- 'child hero' was the
phrase generally used -- had overheard some compromising remark and
denounced its parents to the Thought Police."

Well, it seems...that, it's been nearly five years, at the very least, since you've posted a fuckin' thing, on any blog that you have and/or are subscribed to; so, yea, I'll ask: Do you still support white supremacy?!
